On Saturday, instead of going to the movies, Stuhr Museum brought the movies to everyone. The Stuhr Museum held its annual “Stuhr Under the Stars” event. There were close to 30 people who brought their blankets and lawn chairs to watch the movie “Sing.”
“We wanted to see the movie ‘Sing,’ because we love that movie,” said sisters Stevie and Riley.
“Once a year, we call it ‘Stuhr under the stars.’ We show a movie on the wall of one of our historic buildings. Everyone comes out, gets their lawn chairs and it’s fantastic that way,” said Stuhr Museum Marketing Director Mike Bockoven.
And for one grandfather, Carl Hellner, it really was a throwback.
“Oh well, remember, I grew up in a time where outdoor drive–ins were the thing,” he said.
Although snacks were available for purchase, some came prepared with snacks of their own.
They couldn’t watch the movie “Sing” without doing some singing of their own. The kids and their parents took part in Disney karaoke before the movie began.
