Police say the victim was stabbed in the chest with an ice pick during a fight at the karaoke outlet, and died upon arrival at the Selayang Hospital.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police are looking for an Indonesian labourer to facilitate investigations into the murder of a fellow Indonesian at a karaoke entertainment outlet in Brem Mall, Kepong two days ago.
The labourer, identified only as Mukhsin, last resided at Lot 1416, Jalan Bilal Wondo Kampung Padang Jawa in Shah Alam.
Sentul police chief ACP R Munusamy said Mukhsin, 40, could shed light on the incident on Feb 5, in which a man fatally stabbed the victim, in his 20s, in the chest with an ice pick.
He said the victim was attacked during a fight at the karaoke outlet about 5pm, and died upon arrival at the Selayang Hospital.
“The fight is believed to have been caused by a misunderstanding during a friend’s birthday party,” Munusamy told reporters after attending a Chinese New Year celebration at the Kepong police station here today.
So far, police have remanded a woman and two men to facilitate investigations into the killing.
